Bomb threat at Largo High School LARGO – An unknown man called Largo High School three times to report that a bomb had been planted in the building.
Police said the caller first contacted the school at about 10:35 a.m. The unknown caller told a school employee during the second call that people had five minutes to get out of the building. A third call consisted of a similar threat. Police did not say whether or not the building was evacuated.
Woman is victim of identity theft LARGO – A city woman reported to police that someone had stolen her identity to open a banking account. The 50-year-old victim, who was not identified, told officers she learned that her social security number was used by an unknown person to open a bank account. It was not immediately known how the victim learned of the fraud.
Thief grabs man’s bag LARGO – A Seminole man was walking out of a store when a lone thief grabbed a bag filled with various items and escaped. Police said the 63-year-old victim, who was not identified, was walking from the Walgreens store, 14004 Walsingham Road, at about 10:30 p.m. when an unknown thief grabbed a plastic bag containing recently-purchased items, including prescriptions, and ran off. No injuries were reported.
