LARGO – Largo Police Department’s special operation unit and investigative services worked with Clearwater Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations to conduct a prostitution reverse operation focused on the recovery of human trafficking victims Aug. 21.
Soon after the operation began, law enforcement rescued a 21-year-old mentally handicapped woman who had reportedly been brought to Florida to be sold into prostitution. Two other cases also were discovered and a large amount of intelligence generated during the operation.
Those arrested were: Troy Craig Driskell, 52, charged with human trafficking, deriving proceeds from prostitution and violation of felony probation; Sarah Beth Morris, 35, for solicitation of prostitution and Amy Lynn Kranwinkel for solicitation of prostitution and theft.
In a city email, Largo Police Chief Jeff Undestad called the operation a “great example of multi-jurisdictional cooperation, yielding great results.”
