LARGO – Jersey Mike’s Subs officially opened its doors Sept. 4 at 2687 Roosevelt Blvd. in Largo.
Franchise owner James Connolly is hosting a grand opening and free sub fundraiser through Sunday, Sept. 15, to support the Abilities Foundation.
The new restaurant will circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Abilities Foundation. Half of these 10,000 coupons will be valid through Sept. 8, with the other half being valid through Sept. 15.
Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
Connolly exemplifies Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
“For our grand opening fundraiser we have the opportunity to partner with the Abilities Foundation,” said Connolly in a press release. “Specifically, we will be raising money for the Veterans Mall. This branch of the organization helps provide household essentials for veterans who are transitioning back to life at home. We are grateful for this chance to give back to our veterans and support them through the work of the Abilities Foundation.”
