Detectives seek missing man
Article published on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006
LARGO – Sheriff’s detectives are asking the public’s assistance in locating a 39-year-old man who they say has a mental condition.

Jerry Peck was placed into Boley Center, 12809 Wild Acres Road, as a condition of his court-ordered release and had been there since Sept. 21, sheriff’s reports said.

According to deputies, Peck walked away from the facility on Monday, Sept. 25, between 4 and 5 a.m. Peck is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, has brown eyes and long brown hair.

Detectives said Peck is missing and endangered because he is not receiving his medication. They also said Peck has a substance-abuse problem. A court order has been signed by a judge out of Sarasota County for the arrest of Peck.

Anyone that comes in contact with Peck should contact Detective Jim Beining at 582-6200.
