LARGO – City commissioners awarded a proposal to Ajax Building Corp. of Oldsmar to provide construction management services for the renovations of Largo’s police department building.
The fee for the design services is $16,755.
After the design is completed and approved by the City Commission, staff will negotiate a guaranteed maximum price and scope of work for the project with Ajax that will be brought to the commission.
The Police Department building was constructed in 1975 and appears to be meeting space needs of the department, but it also has roofing and insulation problems and water intrusion. The building has some structural deficiencies, city consultants have said.
