LARGO – Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking information to help identify a man who drowned in Allen’s Creek the afternoon of Oct. 14.
The 51-year-old man had reportedly moved to Pinellas County from South Carolina.
According to the sheriff’s report, two men fishing in Allen’s Creek behind a small shopping center on U.S. 19 saw a man struggling in the water. They said he become unresponsive as they tried to rescue him. The man was taken to Largo Medical Center by Fire Rescue where he was pronounced dead about 3:40 p.m.
