LARGO – Ulmer Park came alive with activity during the first monthly market and community festival Oct. 12.
Community groups joined artists, crafters and vendors selling their wares to the passing community while live music played from the gazebo. A food truck sold barbecue meals, and Largo’s own Dolcini’s Gelato provided frozen treats.
The market, organized by Tanya Pistillo of Wandering Star Gallery, started as a monthly sidewalk sale outside the businesses along West Bay Drive. The market will be held second Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Ulmer Park, 301 W. Bay Drive.
Pistillo said she already had vendors and entertainment lined up for next month’s market. Based on the feedback she received from the community, she wants to make the market a weekly event. To participate, call Pistillo at 465-8558.
