ST. PETERBURG – Walter Halloran of Largo had the chance of a lifetime, throwing the first ceremonial pitch at a recent Rays game.
His mother, Kimberly Halloran, won the honor through Kayem’s 2012 Throw Out the First Pitch Contest. She also won two tickets to the game.
She gave the first pitch to her son, a freshman honor student in the Criminal Justice Program at Pinellas Park High School and an avid soccer player.
Kayem is the official hot dog and sausage of the Tampa Bay Rays and Tropicana Field.
