PALM HARBOR – Jessica Narido of Palm Harbor was recently selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Pre-Teen Tampa pageant competition that will take place Sunday, Feb. 2.
Narido learned of her acceptance into the competition when the pageant announced its selections following interviews in Tampa.
She will be competing, for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants.
Narido will be competing in the Miss Pre-Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young ladies between ages 7 and 19 competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. Narido will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with judges. Personality is the No. 1 aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.
If Narido wins the Tampa title, she will represent Tampa and the surrounding communities at the national competition in Orlando, where $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented.
