PALM HARBOR – Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered Palm Harbor man who was last seen about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10.
According to deputies, 66-year-old Edmund C. Giers was reported missing by his wife, who told deputies her husband left in their vehicle, a 1999 white Geo Prizm, Florida license plate H951UJ.
Deputies said Giers may be endangered as he does not have the medications that he needs to treat the various medical conditions he suffers from.
He is 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds. He has green eyes and grey receding hair. He has a scar on his left wrist. Giers speaks “broken” English, but is fluent in Polish, deputies said.
Giers has been entered into the NCIC and FCIC database as missing and endangered.
Deputies are asking the public for their assistance in locating him and ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts to report it immediately to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office by calling 727-582-6200, or they can call their local law enforcement agency.
