DUNEDIN – Two suspects wanted in connection with a May 15 home invasion on Mayfair Circle West in Parm Harbor were arrested May 16 during a traffic stop in Dunedin.
Michael A. Serritella, 60, was hit in the head when two white males entered through the rear of his home about 8:55 a.m. Thursday. They were armed with guns and attempted to conceal their identity, according to the report from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Serritella was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
Detectives said it appears the men targeted the home and the invasion does not appear to be a random act of violence.
Through their investigation, detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of Thomas Murphy, 27, of Dunedin and and Joshua Ludes, 27, of Pinellas Park. They were charged with one count of home invasion/robbery. As of May 18, no bond had been set for Murphy. Ludes’ bond was $150,000.
