Florida Orchestra quintet to perform TARPON SPRINGS – The Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet will deliver some Christmas cheer with a virtuoso flair during a concert Sunday, Dec. 16, 2 p.m., at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center. Popular opera coming to PAC TARPON SPRINGS – The Florida Lyric Opera will perform “Amahl and the Night Visitors” Saturday, Dec. 22, 7 p.m., at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St. The performance will be repeated on Sunday, Dec. 23, 3 p.m. The tender, heartwarming story of “Amahl and the Night Visitors” is one of the most popular American operas. Only an hour in length, the one-act English-language opera with its beautiful score and touching libretto appeals to all. Concerts slated at Cultural Center TARPON SPRINGS – The Jews of Tin Pan Alley with Lil’ Rev will perform Thursday, Jan. 3, 7:30 p.m., at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S. Brothers Four to perform TARPON SPRINGS – The smooth, musical sound of The Brothers Four will be featured Saturday, Jan. 12, 8 p.m., at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St. Tickets are $24 and $28. The popular folk group has delighted millions for well over 45 years with hit songs “Greenfields,” “Try to Remember,” and “Across the Wide Missouri.” Since the early 1960s The Brothers Four have played thousands of concerts, sung at the White House, performed with symphony orchestras and jazz stars, and are currently touring as part of the “This Land is Your Land” live all-star folk concert tour, inspired by the recent PBS TV Folk Music Special.
