The first monthly Pinellas Park Beacon will be published Friday, Feb. 8.
PINELLAS PARK – The Pinellas Park Beacon, which was launched as a weekly publication in August 2005, will be converted to a monthly publication starting Friday, Feb. 8.
The last weekly Pinellas Park Beacon will be published Friday, Jan. 25.
“Despite very strong and loyal readership of the Beacon, economic realities simply do not allow us to maintain weekly delivery,” said Publisher Dan Autrey. “We currently have two other monthly publications that work extremely well for readers and advertisers alike. That is why I am very confident a monthly publication will maintain the valuable connection we’ve developed with the citizens and businesses of Pinellas Park.”
Executive Editor Tom Germond said the editorial staff and correspondents takes pride in their coverage of Pinellas Park.
“We will continue to be aggressive in our efforts to serve the community,” Germond said. “Whether they’re interested in stories about new business development, government actions or upcoming festivals, our loyal readers can expect to find the new monthly full of local content while the publication adheres to high standards of journalism.”
If readers have any questions about the editorial content, they should send an email to tgermond@TBNweekly.com.
Tampa Bay Newspapers will continue to publish five weekly newspapers and three monthly publications, including the Pinellas Park Beacon.
The total combined circulation of the newspapers is 166,625.
