PINELLAS PARK – Ker’s WingHouse Bar & Grill is hosting Cruisin’ for Cassie Poker Run Sunday, March 3, beginning at the Pinellas Park WingHouse, 7790 U.S. 19 N.

Tampa Bay area residents and WingHouse employees are encouraged to attend this event that will raise awareness for motorcycle safety and raise funds to assist former WingHouse server Cassandra Andonian, who was severally injured in a motorcycle accident in January.

“We’re proud to host this poker run to support a member of our family in her time of need,” said Crawford Ker in a press release.

Ker is CEO and founder of Largo-based Ker’s WingHouse Bar & Grill. “We hope that this event will not only provide much-needed funds to support Cassandra and her family, but also raise awareness for the importance of motorcycle safety to ensure these types of incidents don’t occur in the Tampa community.”

The Cruisin’ for Cassie Poker Run is a five-stop motorcycle route that will take participants on a scenic tour of Tampa Bay with stops at each of the participating WingHouse locations including Pinellas Park, Bradenton, Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in Pinellas Park and the ride promptly kicks off at 11 a.m. The last bike is expected to arrive in St. Petersburg at 3 p.m.

There is a registration fee of $20 per bike to participate in this event.

Riders will be given a score card and the opportunity to purchase extra hands for $5 and will be eligible to sign up for a skills challenge for $10. T-shirts will be on sale for $20.

In addition, there will be raffles and contests so attendees can have an opportunity to win donated prizes and to raise money to help Andonian’s family. The rider with the best poker hand at the end of the run will be awarded $200 and the worst hand will be awarded $50. All of the proceeds will benefit Andonian. Additional donations are being accepted at the event.
