PINELLAS PARK - The city of Pinellas Park Building Development Division is kicking off Pride in the Park by issuing free permits for specific construction and repair work to residential properties through Friday, March 22.
This special program gives homeowners in the city of Pinellas Park the opportunity to obtain free permits for home renovation projects such as roofing, alterations, minor repairs, fences, wood decks, concrete patios, driveways, above ground pools, barns and sheds.
Residents are encouraged to contact the Building Development Division for permitting requirements.In some cases, plans and other preparations can be made prior to making the trip to apply for a free permit, thereby saving time and/or multiple trips to the permit office.
The permit office, which is located in the Tech Services Building at 6051 78th Ave. N., Pinellas Park, will be open regular hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Hours will be extended on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the convenience of homeowners who work and find it difficult to come in during regular hours.
If residents have access to a computer, an individual may access forms and information on-line. Just go to pinellas-park.com and click on permits under the services option and this will take you to a variety of links from forms, applications, and to when a permit is required.
Also, if residents have access to a fax machine, the Building Development Division can transmit forms, permit applications and accept support documentation by facsimile.
