PINELLAS PARK Ė A Pinellas Park man was transported to a local hospital after he nearly drowned in a swimming pool Friday, June 13.
Pinellas Park police officers responded to a call at 1:27 p.m. about a male subject found floating motionless in a pool in the 7800 block of 72nd Street N. As officer arrived, two unidentified people pulled the man from the pool. Observing no signs of life, two Pinellas Park Police officers started CPR on the 64-year-old man.
A short while later, rescue personnel from the Pinellas Park and Lealman Fire Departments arrived and took over lifesaving efforts. The man was transported an area hospital where he is receiving emergency medical care.
