PINELLAS PARK – A Pinellas Park man is out of jail June 14 after posting $25,000 in bond money for five counts of sexual performance of a child.
Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit received information in November 2011 that Martin Lewis, 59, might be downloading child pornography videos from the internet.
Detectives began their investigation and served a search warrant June 12 at Lewis’ home on 62nd Street. Items seized during the search were sent to FDLE for forensic analysis and it was determined that Lewis had in fact been downloading random child pornography videos since April 25, 2011. The victims in the videos were all girls between the ages of 6 and 10.
Detectives say the videos were used for the suspect’s own personal use.
