PINELLAS PARK – A 19-year-old with an “extensive juvenile record” was arrested about 3 a.m. Sunday, June 15, for four counts of vehicle burglary and violation of probation.
Pinellas Park police responded to the 5800 block of 86th Avenue after receiving reports about a black male breaking into vehicles. As officers arrived in the area, the subject fled on foot. Police set up a perimeter and sent in a K-9 unit to find the man.
The K-9 unit eventually found Brian Keith Harrington Jr. of Pinellas Park at a private residence in the 8800 block of 58th Way N. Harrington was inside a pickup truck parked in a driveway. He was taken into custody without incident.
Based on police interviews with witnesses, Harrington was charged with four counts of vehicle burglary as well as violation of probation. More charges are expected.
According to the police report, Harrington has an extensive juvenile record. As an adult, he has numerous arrests. He was on felony probation for seven burglary arrests prior to the June 15 arrest.
Harrington is being held without bond in the Pinellas County Jail.
