PINELLAS PARK – The Pinellas Park Water Management District will begin improvements on a water channel to alleviate potential flooding problems.

Janet A. Rogers, executive director, said the channel is located on 102nd Avenue east of Larchment Place and continues to Springwood Boulevard.

Rogers said the project is part of the district’s ongoing effort to alleviate flooding problems within its boundaries. The new project includes replacing approximately 900 feet of concrete fabriform liner with new concrete panel liners.

The project is expected to begin shortly and be completed by October, Rogers said.
