PINELLAS PARK – Pinellas Park police Officers Adam Geissenberger and Adam Smotrich were promoted to the rank of sergeant during a ceremony Sept. 5.
Both have been assigned to work with the patrol section of the department.
Geissenberger joined the department in 2000 and has served as a patrol officer, a youth services officer and school resource officer. Most recently, he worked in the department’s office of professional standards.
Smotrich joined the department in 2006. He also has served in a variety of assignments including patrol and most recently in the training division.
Their promotions were due to the recent retirements of two senior police supervisors. Sgt. Tracey Schofield retired recently after 23 years with the agency, and Sgt. Tina Trehy retired after 26 years with the agency.
