PINELLAS PARK – A woman, charged at least two times prior for driving under the influence, was arrested Sept. 21 after trying to escape the Pinellas Park police officer who was pulling her over, according to reports.
The officer tried to pull over the vehicle after the driver failed to yield the right of way near the intersection of 49th Street and 82nd Avenue at around 9:10 p.m. However, the driver – later identified as Dara Lynn Crookshank, 33, of Pinellas Park – did not stop and tried to elude the officer, police said.
Crookshank also reportedly refused to submit to drug or alcohol testing, drawing a misdemeanor charge against her. Coupled with felony charges of fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer and driving under the influence as a repeat offense, Crookshank was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a $10,150 bond.
