PINELLAS PARK – Eagle Scout Brandon Walter Wiesner was recently presented with an Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Certificate for outstanding leadership and citizenship from the Marine Corps League, Morris F. Dixon Jr. Detachment 54 of Largo. League member William Puckett presented the certificate at Brandon’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony held at the First United Methodist Church in Pinellas Park.
For his Eagle Leadership Service Project, Wiesner gathered various toiletries, which he and other Scouts then assembled into 100 toiletry kits for distribution to the homeless through Project Hope.
The 17-year-old senior at Dixie Hollins High School has been active in Scouting for 10 years. He has also participated in the Army Jr. ROTC program for four years and is presently the Battalion Command Sergeant Major, the highest enlisted rank attainable by the 162 Junior ROTC cadets in the program.
Wiesner is a member of Boy Scout Troop 375 of Pinellas Park. He is the son of Darren and Donna Wiesner of Pinellas Park.
