Largo man arrested for theft
PINELLAS PARK – A Largo man on Nov. 6 was arrested and jailed on several complaint charges.

Paul A. Fumea, 26, was held in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $8,500 bail. He was charged with domestic battery, possession of cocaine and felony theft. He was also cited with violation of parole on previous charges.

Police said dispatch received an anonymous call about 8:30 a.m. alleging that adults were using drugs in the presence of a child. Police said that turned out to be untrue, but the woman complained that $200 was missing from her purse. Police said further investigation revealed that Fumea was, in fact, the anonymous caller. The suspect, police said, later admitted to stealing the $200 to support his crack cocaine habit.

PINELLAS PARK – A city man was arrested Nov. 3 on two complaints after he allegedly pointed a revolver at a crowd of people. Charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is Zdzislaw J. Rozanski, 43. He was released from the Pinellas County Jail after posting $20,000 bail.

Police said the suspect apparently was annoyed over noise from a party in the 10000 block of 62nd Street.

Police said the suspect allegedly said he was going to kill everyone at the gathering. Later that night the suspect allegedly pulled a black and silver semi-automatic pistol and waved it at people on the street.

Police said the suspect then walked to his nearby home. He later surrendered to police.

Gun gets man in hot water
PINELLAS PARK – A city man may be charged with at least one weapons count after he allegedly displayed a revolver Nov. 1 during an argument. Police said the suspect remains unidentified because no formal charges have been filed. Officers said the man was embroiled in an argument at about 1:20 a.m. with a woman and other persons in the 2900 block of 87th Place. During the altercation, police said, the man showed people that he was armed. At no time, however, did he actually remove the gun from his waistband and aim it at others.

Woman arrested at Wal-Mart
PINELLAS PARK – A homeless woman who tried to steal a desktop computer on Nov. 4 from a store was arrested on theft and drug charges. Held in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $4,150 bail is Katherine M. Debord, 49, a transient. She is charged with felony retail theft, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and providing a false name to police officers. She also is being held for several alleged parole violations. Police said the suspect was at the Wal-Mart Super Store on U.S. 19 at about 8:20 p.m. when she attempted to walk out with a desktop computer valued at $498. Police said Debord had a metal tube in her possession that tested positive for cocaine residue.

Bad checks part of scam
PINELLAS PARK – A St. Petersburg woman almost got scammed out of $3,000 due to worthless checks. Police said the woman, who was not identified, received the counterfeit checks on Nov. 6 with instructions to cash them and return all but 10 percent of the cash. The woman went to the Fifth Third Bank at 11030 49th St. where a sharp-eyed teller spotted the fake checks. The woman told officers she received the checks from a friend in Dallas, Texas, with instructions to wire the money. No charges were lodged against the woman, police said.
