PINELLAS PARK – Pinellas Park Police are searching for a man who robbed the Walgreens Pharmacy at 6996 U.S. 19 on Dec. 13. Pinellas Park police responded to the Walgreens around 3:41 p.m., after receiving a call that an armed robbery had taken place.
The suspect allegedly entered the store, proceeded to the pharmacy counter, and revealed to employees that he had a handgun tucked into his waistband. After demanding prescription medication, the suspect jumped over the counter, took drugs, and fled the store.
He entered a newer model silver Nissan Altima and was last seen heading northbound, crossing 70th Avenue into the parking lot of The Shoppes at Park Place. Responding police were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle.
Police say the suspect is a white male in his early to mid-20s with brown hair and a thin build. He is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, gray Notre Dame T-shirt with the word “IRISH” written over a green clover, and dark-colored basketball shorts with a green stripe.
