PINELLAS PARK – As the Pinellas Park Fire Department gears up for the 2013 Chili Blaze benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, it’s seeking local businesses to sponsor the event.
The Chili Blaze takes place Friday, March 15, 6 to 11 p.m., at England Brothers Park, 5010 81st Ave. N.
There are several ways to sponsor the Chili Blaze, including entering the chili cook-off contest.
All money raised at the Chili Blaze – including registration, entry and sponsorship fees, donations, and tickets sales – goes to the MDA. Some years, as much as $20,000 is raised for the organization.
The event was founded in 2000 by Ray Hansen and coincides with the annual Country in the Park event.
