SEMINOLE – Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit arrested a Seminole man Jan. 30 for three counts of sexual battery with a child under 12.
According to the sheriff’s report, the abuse occurred at various locations in the county on dates between 2008 and 2012.
Detectives began their investigation on Jan. 29, after the victim disclosed to an acquaintance that the suspect had sexual contact with her on multiple occasions. Detectives interviewed the victim and eventually made contact with Terry Dale Alford, 33.
Alford denied the allegations, but detectives said enough probable cause existed to arrest and charge Alford with three counts of sexual battery on a child under 12. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. Bond was set at $450,000 - $150,000 per charge.
