SEMINOLE – A man wanted in connection with the Feb. 6 robbery of the Bank of America in Seminole is dead.
According to Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives, the body of Richard Plent, 51, was located during the morning hours of Feb. 8 in Millenium Park, 12410 74th Ave. in Seminole.
Detectives say the death is not suspicious. According to detectives, the preliminary investigation indicates the suspect may have have died due to an overdose from over the counter medications.
The manner and cause of death will be determined through an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives had been looking for Plent in connection with the Feb. 6 robbery of the Bank of America, 6801 Seminole Blvd. in Seminole.
According to detectives, Plent, who was a transient, entered the bank about 9:13 a.m. and demanded cash from the teller. The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen running out of the south door of the bank.
