Pow Wow Festival and Parade to make for fun weekend

SEMINOLE – For some, the Pow Wow Parade is the best part of the whole weekend of special events.

The parade will begin 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Park Boulevard and 113th Street and end at the recreation complex.

The Midway opens Friday at 5 p.m., and the All Children’s Charity Auction Preview begins at the same time.

The auction continues to 9 p.m.

From 7 to 9:15 p.m. Seminole Sings Semifinals takes the stage, and Lorna Bracewell takes over until 9 p.m.

On Saturday, March 18, the Seminole Kiwanis Club will serve pancakes from 7 to 11 a.m. The Midway reopens at 10 a.m., a Youth/Family Entertainment Extravaganza takes the main stage at noon.

The festival will end with a fireworks display on the soccer fields at 10 p.m.

Streets closing for parade

The Pow Wow Parade, on Saturday will result in the road closures of 113th Street, and all side streets, starting at 9:45 a.m.

The closures will remain until the parade is completely over and the units have reached the Seminole Recreation Complex.
