Semifinals to take center stage at Pow Wow

SEMINOLE – Five out of nine competitors sang their way into the semifinals of the Seminole Sings talent expo at the fourth preliminary round on March 12 at Seminole Mall.

The winners were Rachel Prather, Brooke Causey, Raquel E. Williams, Megan Gillespie and Bruce Blowers. They were judged for their excellence in vocal performance and ability to wow the audience packed into the food court.

These talented youngsters will join 13 other performers at the semifinals at the Seminole Pow Wow and Festival Friday, March 17, 7 p.m. This event is free on the main entertainment stage where 10 performers will be tapped to move to the final round.

The 10 remaining singers will strut their stuff at the Seminole Sings finale on Friday, March 31, at the St. Petersburg Digitorium. The ultimate challenge will begin at 7 p.m.

For the final performance, tickets are available from the Greater Area Chamber of Commerce for $5 each. Proceeds go to support educational programs sponsored by the chamber.
