SEMINOLE - Detectives assigned to the Economic Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Seminole credit card fraud/identity theft suspect who stole from a female victim’s purse.
According to Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives, on Thursday, Jan. 16, between 5:30 and 6 p.m., the victim completed her grocery shopping and paid her bill at the Publix Supermarket located at 10801 Starkey Road in Seminole. She then went to use the restroom prior to leaving the store. The victim inadvertently left her purse in the grocery cart and, when she returned, her wallet was missing from her purse.
Since the incident, the victim’s credit card has been used at various locations in the Largo Mall area by
a white female in her 50s. She is described as being 5 foot to 5 foot 3 inches tall, medium build, weighing approximately 150 pounds. She has brown shoulder length hair. At the time of the theft, she was wearing a long-sleeve red shirt or sweater with an unknown print on the front, jeans and glasses. She was carrying a large gold or beige handbag.
The suspect has been seen driving a dark gray Nissan SUV.
