SEMINOLE – Results, a group of real estate professionals and support business employees, is hoping to make an impact on the local real estate market by doing some selective home makeovers in the area.
The group, under the direction of Realtor Beth Nielsen, volunteered its time March 21 to make improvements to a Seminole home at 10863 70th Ave. N.
The owner of the home, Tony Salazar of Corona, Calif., purchased the home a year ago and made improvements to the interior but is now upside down on the house, owing more than it’s estimated $90,000 value.
“We’ve heard so many negative things about the market,” said Nielsen. “This is something positive.”
Nielsen said her group of volunteers originally hoped to rehab one house per month but will now focus on about six per year. Materials are donated by a number of businesses in the area.
The house on 70th Avenue received exterior paint, a new lawn, a mulch driveway and landscaping.
Joining Nielsen on the project were Tammi Hagedorn of Seminole Title Co.; Joy Keomany, Alday Donaldson Title Co.; Jason Philpot, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; Debbie Barber, Abbey Printing; Dan Finn, Future Home Realty; Linda Carell, Humar Insurance; Will Merritt, Florida Mortgages; Trish Bredfield, Fidelity National Title; and Jan Whitlow, The Selling Edge Home Staging.
The group is looking for homes in need of assistance and additional volunteers.
For information, call Nielsen at 329-6911.
