SEMINOLE – Seminole Pinch-A-Penny recently awarded three employees for their combined service totaling more than 50 years of experience in the pool and spa (hot tub) industry.
The experts – Tom Acheson, general manager; Chuck Sanders, assistant manager; and “DJ” Johnson, field service technician – attend continuing education courses on equipment maintenance and the latest innovations in pool and spa pumps, filters, cleaners, heaters, automation, and salt systems to the chemistry of pool and spa care.
“In the 12 years I’ve worked for Pinch-a-Penny, I’d say I’ve serviced about 10,000 pools,” Johnson said in a press release. He also is certified by Dimension One Spas.
”We’ve seen just about everything,“ said Acheson. “Whether it comes in the store for a free water test or repair service; or out in the field with DJ, we’re here to help. If it’s something we don’t have, we can special order it or provide a referral. Everybody’s pool is different. It’s a science and an art.”
Sanders is now tasked with a new division for this entity, as he will be overseeing pool-cleaning operations.
“There’s always a different element to contend with on each homeowner’s pool,” Sanders said. “We hope to make every pool an enjoyable place for everyone to spend time in their own backyards.”
Seminole Pinch-A-Penny, owned by long- time Seminole residents Tricia and Don Nuckols, is a local franchise of the Clearwater-based company boasting an entire network of stores in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
