SEMINOLE – David Weekley Homes is bucking the trend.
At a time when most builders are struggling to sell an overabundant inventory of homes during tight economic times, Weekley Homes is preparing a site on 131st Street north of 86th Avenue for a gated 31-home boutique community. Seminole Middle and Seminole High schools are a short distance down the street.
Developed by the Tampa-based List Group, Kensington will offer a variety of one- and two-story floor plans ranging from 2,859 to 3,569 square feet of living space, according to a company news release.
Prices will range from $690,990 to $775,990 on six models. Four of the six models are two stories and all feature three-car garages.
Weekley plans to begin building a model home on-site within 60 days.
During its 32-year history, David Weekley Homes has built more than 50,000 residences and builds in 18 U.S. markets, including the Tampa Bay area, where its homes can be found in a dozen communities.
Weekley also builds in Atlanta, Austin, Texas; Charleston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Fort Myers, Hilton Head, S.C.; Houston, Jacksonville, Orlando, Palm Coast, Panama City, Phoenix, Raleigh, N.C.; San Antonio, Texas; and Tallahassee.
Weekley is the first homebuilder to receive what is considered the triple crown of American home building. This distinction includes top honors as America’s Best Builder by the National Association of Home Builders and Builder magazine; The National Housing Quality Award winner from NAHB and Reed Residential Group; and National Builder of the Year by Professional Builder magazine.
