Seminole library announces July events

SEMINOLE – The following events are planned in July at the Seminole Community Library, at the Seminole campus of St. Petersburg College:
Computer classes
• Express Yourself Through Blogs, Tuesday, July 7, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. SPC registration required, $25 fee.
• Get Comfortable with Your Computer, Tuesday, July 7, 1 to 5 p.m. SPC registration required, $25 fee.
• Discover MS Word and Windows Programs on Your Computer, Tuesday, July 14, 1 to 5 p.m., SPC registration required, $25 fee.
• Welcome to E-mail and the Internet, Tuesday, July 21, 1 to 5 p.m., SPC registration required, $25 fee.
• Create Your Own Web Page, Saturdays, July 18 and 25, 1 to 5 p.m., SPC registration required, $49 fee.
Teen programs
(sixth to 12th grade)
• Express Yourself Summer Reading Club. Teens can submit entry blanks for books they have read to enter the weekly prize drawing. Entry blanks will be available at the Youth Services Desk.
• Teen Book Club, Wednesday, July 8, 7 p.m. Requires registration,
• Teen Thursdays, 2 p.m. Requires registration.
Adult programs
• Classic Movie Matinee, Fridays, 1 p.m. Free popcorn and sodas provided by The Friends of the Library. Call 394-6922 for titles.
• Sean Scott Medicaid Seminar, Monday, July 6, 2 p.m.
• SPC Toastmasters, Tuesdays, 6:15 p.m.
• Seminole Civitan Club, Thursday, July 2, 6:30 p.m.
• Suncoast Fibromyalgia Support Group, Saturday, July 11, 11 a.m.
• Hidden Stitches, Monday, July 6, 6 p.m.
• Seminole Computer Club, Saturday, July 11, 2 p.m.
• Master the Art of Reading: Reading program for adults. Read a book, fill out a mini-book review and leave in the box at the circulation or reference desk. Prizes awarded at the end of the month.
• Boater safety, Saturday, July 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. SPC registration required, $35 fee.
• Digital Photography II – Getting Creative, Fridays, July 10 through Aug. 7, 9 a.m. to noon. SPC registration required/$85 fee.
• On the Road Again – Travel Photography, Fridays, July 17 through Aug. 7, 1 to 4 p.m. SPC registration required/$69 fee.
• Backwards Travelers Historical Fiction Club, Tuesday, July 21, 2 p.m. “Luncheon of the Boating Party” by Susan Vreeland. A best-selling author’s vivid exploration of one of Renoir’s most beloved paintings.
Children’s programs
• Toddler Storytimes, 18 months to 3 years, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.
• Preschool Storytime, 3 to 5 years old, Tuesdays at 11 a.m.
• Babytime, Birth to 18 months, Fridays, 9:30 a.m.
• Family Movie, Saturdays, 2 p.m. Films for all ages, free popcorn and sodas provided by The Friends of the Library. Call 394-6913 for titles. There will be no family movie on July 4 and 25.
