SEMINOLE – City councilors moved a step closer to filling a vacant position on the Recreation Advisory Board when they were introduced to city resident Bob Lima during an Aug. 12 workshop.
Lima, who is retired following a lengthy career in marketing and radio, is expected to be approved for the vacancy at the next City Council meeting Aug. 26.
Lima has lived in Seminole for three years and is a regular participant of programs at the Recreation Center.
He would replace Mike Masem, who resigned June 20 for employment commitments.
The board consists of five members and meets monthly as a liaison between residents and the Recreation Division.
Other members of the board are Eva Jones, Alicia Fretz, Steve Zazzarro and Latisha Springer.
