SEMINOLE – The Rotary Club of Seminole Lake had its annual installation banquet June 27 at the Bayou Club. Installing officer, Assistant District Governor Tim Schuler administered the oath of office.
New officers include Gerald Shaw, president; Marianne Fisher, president-elect; past president Gary Marcus, vice president; George Bessler, secretary; Lisa Crimilla, treasurer; and Mike Hendry, sergeant-at-arms. Schuler also installed new board of directors Paul Trice, Tom Krall, Gene Stern, Milt Sheen, Glenn Stamm and John Bouseman.
During the brunch, numerous awards were given. Schuler presented his daughter, Chelsea, with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Marcus presented Gene Stern with the “Rotarian of the Year” award.
Outgoing president Marcus was given the Rotary International Presidential Citation, an award given to a Rotary Club for meeting stringent goals set by Rotary International. The Rotary Club of Seminole Lake has attained this prestigious award every year.
