SEMINOLE – Seminole Recreation Center announced plans for a number of upcoming events and activities.
The center will host its first fall luncheon Tuesday, Sept. 21, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The “So Long Summer” luncheon costs $7 a person and includes a meal and entertainment by vocalist Frank Cannon. Registration deadline is Saturday, Sept. 18. Recreation card not needed to participate.
Following the luncheon, the Senior Matinee will start at 1:15 p.m. The matinee for September is “The Bachelor” with Renee Zellwenger and Chris O’Conell. The show is free for anyone with a recreation card, and includes popcorn and a beverage.
Venture along with the Seminole Recreation Walking Club as they walk the Pinellas Trail, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 to 9 a.m. The group will meet at Seminole City Park by the city hall flag pole. The goal is to get in shape and to get to know one another. To register, call Dan at 391-8345.

Classes and special events for children
Classes will include preschool classes, gymnastics, tae kwon do, music lessons, cheerleading, art, mighty mite sports, ballet, tap, hip hop and baton. New classes include drum lessons, archery and fencing.
Special events such as Freaky Fridays, School Out Days, Holiday Camps, Little Elves Workshop and Santa’s B&B are open for registration now and early registration is encouraged.
The fall brochure details all the classes and special events, and is available in the recreation center office or online at www.myseminole.com. All participants must have a Seminole recreation card.
