Hard Rock Casino Trip
SEMINOLE – Seminole Recreation plans a trip to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa Thursday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $28 per person and participants must have a recreation card. The Casino has big jackpot gaming machines and live poker. The trip includes roundtrip bus transportation, driver gratuity, $10 food voucher and $15 in free machine play. Call Dan at 391-8345 for more information.

October Luncheon set
SEMINOLE – Seminole Recreation plans its October luncheon Tuesday, Oct. 21. The cost is $8 per person. Participants must have a recreation card. The entertainer for the luncheon sings 1950s and ’60s music. The lunch will be catered by Freedom Square. Call 391-8345.

Looking for Halloween volunteers
SEMINOLE – The City of Seminole and the Kiwanis Club of Seminole are seeking volunteer actors to participate in the 2008 Seminole Asylum Haunted House Oct. 23, 24, and 25 at the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St. Hours of operation are 6 to 9 p.m. Volunteers will be needed to assist with makeup and costumes, “scare-actors” and other aspects. Youth creative ceramics offered
SEMINOLE – Seminole Recreation Center has a new kiln ready for firing ceramics. Sign your child up for a creative and fun way to bring out their artistic talents. The program is open to children ages 7 to 11. Class meets Mondays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St. For more information, call 391-8345.

Walking club forms
SEMINOLE – Looking for a place to walk and not have to sweat a lot? The Seminole Recreation Center offers an hour of fun and fellowship Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 9 a.m. Participants must have a recreation card. For more information, call 391-8345.
