SEMINOLE – Guy Trent was inducted as president and received the Ralph Davis award for service during the Kiwanis Club of Seminole’s annual installation of officers Oct. 4 at Freedom Square.
In addition to Trent, new officers for 2012-13 are president-elect “Doc” Kinsey, vice president Rita Zazzaro, secretary Bob Grant, treasurer Terry Carr and past president Dave Kinsey.
The new directors are Mike Bryan, Maureen Zilles, Arden Ford, Eugene Mohney, and Jeanine Blauvelt.
The Kiwanis Club of Seminole works hard every year to provide a great deal of service to the Seminole community, which is the main focus of the club. Among the many amazing projects this year were the faceless dolls project at All Children’s Hospital, assisted teens through the teen parenting programs, collected plastic bags for Pinellas Village, Horses for Handicapped therapeutic riding program, Chain Gang at Seminole High School, participated in Seminole PowWow and Bright Before Your Eyes parades, Seminole Winter Fest, assisting those in wheel chairs to attend church service at Bay Pines nursing center, provided volunteers to assist for the Seminole Recreation’s haunted house, sponsorship of youth programs at Bauder Elementary (K-Kids), Seminole Middle, (Builders Club) and Seminole High (Key Club) schools.
