Sheriff’s office investigates drug store robbery

SEMINOLE – Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating an armed robbery at the Trinity Pharmacy, 9488 Seminole Blvd., that occurred at about 5:40 p.m. on Oct. 12.
According to detectives, the suspect entered the store, walked up to the pharmacy technician and asked for a pharmacist. As the pharmacist walked out from a back room, the suspect went behind the counter, pulled out a weapon and ordered the pharmacist to the floor. He then ordered the pharmacy technician to fill his duffle bag with pain medications.
The pharmacy technician complied with the demand. The suspect then left the pharmacy with an undisclosed amount of pain medications, as well as with an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register. He also took some personal items belonging to the pharmacist.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40-45 years of age, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 to 170 pounds.
