SEMINOLE – Faith Presbyterian Church, 11501 Walker Ave., recently opened the first phase of its new 8,400-square-foot Early Childhood Children’s Ministry Building.
The building will house the church’s nursery and preschool, which serve about 200 children a week. The church had about 400 participate in its Vacation Bible School program over the summer.
“The need has been evident,” said Dennis Clements, director of music and the arts for the church. “The children’s programs have been crowding our facilities.”
Four of seven rooms are complete in the $1 million building.
Don Bayer, an elder for the church’s properties ministry, said about $200,000 would be necessary to finish the building.
The building is the seventh on the 7-acre church campus, which has been in existence for about 50 years, Bayer said.
