SEMINOLE – A lineup of 36 units is set to participate in the fourth annual Bright Before Your Eyes! Holiday Night Parade Sunday, Nov. 23, in Seminole.

The parade, organized by the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of 113th Street and 80th Avenue and goes north to the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St. N.

As was the case a year ago, participants in the parade will not be allowed to throw items to parade patrons.

“Everything like that will have to be handed out along the curb,” said Harold “Doc” Kinsey, director of the parade. “It worked pretty good last year but slowed down the parade a little bit.”

The parade will feature the Seminole High School marching band, along with three floats.

The floats will feature Star Struck Dance Studio, Faith Presbyterian Church and Santa Claus in the last unit with Seminole city and chamber of commerce officials.

The parade staging area will be along Johnson Boulevard, east of the Seminole Mall. Parade participants must be at the site by 6 p.m.

Kinsey said 113th Street will be closed in both directions from Park Boulevard to 102nd Avenue from 6:15 p.m. to whenever deputies get the clearance to reopen the route from parade officials.

The parade lineup is as follows:

1. PCVLC honor guard, 2. Sheriff’s patrol car, 3. Miss Seminole, Kristina Janolo; 4. Seminole Fire Rescue Truck 29, 5. State Rep. Janet Long, 6. Empty space, 7. Seminole High School Marching Band, 8. Seminole High School Hawkettes, 9. Selama Grotto Jokers, 10. Star Struck Dance Studio float.
