Seminole qualifying begins Dec. 2

SEMINOLE – Candidate qualifying for the March 10 municipal election for two council seats on the Seminole City Council will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. and end Monday, Dec. 15, 4 p.m.

Qualifications for election to City Council are:

• Candidates shall be an elector and a resident of the city for one year prior to qualifying;

• Candidates shall submit 40 petitions signed by city electors and pay an election assessment and qualifying fee; or

• Pay an election assessment and qualifying fee; and

• File all necessary documents, as provided by the City Clerk, during the qualifying period.

For further information on qualifying requirements and obtaining candidate packets, contact the city clerk’s office at 391-0204, ext. 102.
