Located on the Bayboro Harbor in downtown St. Petersburg, the Salvador Dali Museum is the permanent home of the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by the late Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the museum. Compiled by Dali’s close friends, A. Reynolds and Eleanor Morse over 45 years, the museum collection includes 94 original oils, more than 100 watercolors and drawings, 1,300 graphics, sculptures, holograms, objects d’art, photographs and an extensive archival library.
The museum welcomes 200,000 visitors from around the world each year. The museum’s collection and special exhibitions are periodically rotated, allowing visitors to view new work with each visit.
Special events at the Dali include Family Fun Saturdays every Saturday, the monthly Breakfast with Dali and the popular annual Dalifest celebration.
The Salvador Dali Museum is at 1000 Third St. S. in downtown St. Petersburg. Call 823-3767 or visit www.salvadordalimuseum.org
