Clausen wins Indian Shores Town Council seat

PINELLAS COUNTY - The Canvassing Committee met Saturday morning and certified results from the March 14 Indian Shores Municipal Election.

Winners declared from unofficial results posted March 14 did not change; however, the record shows a slight change in totals. Click here to view official results.

According to the official results, which include provisional ballots, Marlene Clausen was the winner with with 126 votes, 63 percent, to challenger Vince Robertiello with 74 votes, 37 percent.

The record shows that 17.23 percent of 1,178 registered voters cast ballots in the March 2006 election.

According to statistics provided by the Supervisor of Elections Office, 28.5 percent of voters cast ballots in the March 1999 election.
