INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The city of Indian Rocks Beach, Action 2000 Inc. and the IRB Homeowners’ Association will host an official opening of the IRB Pocket Park, located at Fifth Avenue and Gulf Boulevard, Wednesday, June 13, 9 a.m.

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, Commissioner Ed and Julie Hoofnagle will host a reception where refreshments will be served.

“The IRB Pocket Park exemplifies the City’s commitment to broaden our many and varied recreational facilities with the development of this newest park,” said IRB City Manager Gregg Mims in a press release.

IRB Flag Day ceremony set for June 14

The public is invited to attend the city of Indian Rocks Beach annual Flag Day ceremony, Thursday, June 14, at noon in the Indian Rocks Beach Civic Auditorium,1507 Bay Palm Blvd. Upon the conclusion of the program, lunch will be served.

This annual ceremony serves to honor the American Flag as well as collect those which have become torn and tattered in the service of the country.

American flags may be brought to the ceremony or delivered to the Indian Rocks Beach City Hall, 1507 Bay Palm Blvd.
