CLEARWATER — Pinellas County Administrator Barry A. Burton announced the appointment of Jill Silverboard April 16 as deputy county administrator/chief of staff, effective May 26.
In her role, Silverboard will support county operations, strategic planning efforts, intergovernmental agreements and shared services among county departments. Silverboard will join the county team after a 12-year stint as deputy city manager for the city of Clearwater.
“Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and local experience in issues that are very similar to those we face at the county level,” Burton said. “We look forward to her being a part of our team and contributing to our future successes.”
Silverboard brings 30 years of local government experience to her new role. Prior to her work for the city of Clearwater, she served as city manager for the cities of Madeira Beach and Destin. She also held various roles as deputy city manager in Florida.
She is a credentialed manager through the International City/County Management Association and has served on various local and state boards. Silverboard has a master’s degree in Public Affairs from Western Carolina University and a bachelor’s degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina.
