SAFETY HARBOR – Paint Your Heart Out Safety Harbor is seeking more than 100 volunteers to paint the exteriors of houses on March 10.
The nonprofit group needs an early list of interested volunteers so it can start planning its annual day of helping neighbors in need.
Sign up now and the group will contact you closer to the event.
Volunteers will gather between 7 and 7:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church Safety Harbor for a free breakfast. They’ll also get painting instructions (no experience is needed) and free T-shirts. Volunteers will then split into six groups and head to their houses. Homes were chosen based on the owners’ financial and/or physical hardships. The group received so many worthy nominations this year it is painting six homes instead of the usual five.
Around noon, groups will complete their homes and head back to the church for a free lunch.
All volunteers must sign a waiver before painting. You must be at least 14 to paint. Those 14 to 17 will need a signed parental consent form.
Sign up online at signup.com/go/MNWVGNG. Only organizers will see your name and information. Volunteers may also sign up by sending their names, contact information and number of volunteers in their party to email@example.com.
