PINELLAS PARK – Candidates for Pinellas County Commission will speak and answer questions on Wednesday, June 6, 7 p.m., in the Mainlands of Tamarac Unit 5 Clubhouse, located at 4275 Mainlands Blvd. 

Candidates expected to appear include Larry Ahern, Barbara Haselden, Kathleen Peters and Amy Kedron.

The Mainlands of Tamarac is located just north of the Pinellas Park Walmart Super Center. Mainlands’ entrance is at U.S. 19 and Mainlands Boulevard.

Each candidate will speak for 15 minutes, after which candidates will take questions from the moderator and members of the audience. 

The forum will last no longer than two hours.

Oldsmar Chamber sets candidate forum

OLDSMAR – The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce will host a candidates’ forum Tuesday, June 12, 6:30-9 p.m., in the Oldsmar City Council chambers, 101 State St. W.

The forum aims to provide voters in northeast Pinellas and northwest Hillsborough counties the opportunity to meet, hear from and question individuals seeking to represent residents at all levels of government.

Candidates for Florida House and Senate have been invited to participate in the forum, as well as county commission and school board candidates from both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce serves both businesses and residents located in and around Oldsmar and northwest Hillsborough County.
