It is amazing to me that non-native predators, such as coyotes, are somehow protected to the detriment of other species, such as birds and turtles. Here on Sand Key, a colony of least terns was destroyed by coyotes earlier this year, and some sea turtle nests were disrupted (dug up and eggs eaten) by coyotes. Why the preference for predators by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission?
